2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal (put small amounts into blender until it turns to powder; measure, then blend)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. bag chocolate chips
8 oz. Hershey bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts (of your choice)

Cream together first 3 ingredients. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and soda; mix dry ingredients with the creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar, and chopped nuts.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. Make golf-ball size cookies. Place 2 inches apart and bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes.

NOTE: To make flatter cookies, flatten with a spatula after 5 minutes in the oven, then bake an additional 3-5 more minutes depending on your oven. Yield: 100-115 cookies.
