OKRA AND TOMATOES 
4 c. okra
3 slices bacon
1 bell pepper, chopped fine
3 tbsp. bacon drippings
2 (8 oz.) cans tomatoes or 1 qt. tomatoes
1 onion, chopped fine
1 tbsp. Lawry's seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Fry bacon until crisp, drain and crumble, reserving drippings in skillet. Add 1 bell pepper. Add okra and onion to drippings in skillet. Saute 6 minutes, add tomatoes. Add seasoned salt and garlic powder. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice or toast.
