MICROWAVE DOUBLE CHOCOLATE
BROWNIES

1/2 c. butter
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Powdered sugar

In 2 cup glass measure place butter and chocolate and microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until butter is melted. Chocolate will not appear melted until stirred.

Beat eggs in large mixing bowl until light and foamy. Stir in chocolate/butter mixture, sugar, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into 9 inch square microwave baking dish. Cook on high for 6 minutes. Brownies will still be moist but will firm as cooled. Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar. Cool before cutting into squares. 16 to 20 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

This recipe tasted just like the brownies in the oven. Better to me without nuts. They were the best warm with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on the top.

Hi, I just tried the recipe there delicious! I added 2 tbsp. shredded coconut instead of nuts. Adhering to the six minutes is key to a moist brownie.
