PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. molasses
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Use iron skillet and combine sugar, water, and cream of tartar. Cook to 280 degrees. Add molasses, butter, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, to 300 degrees. Add peanuts and soda; mix quickly and pour on a buttered warm jelly pan.
