MANICOTTI 
1 (8 oz.) manicotti shells
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese shredded
2 slices white bread torn into small pieces
1/4 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Spaghetti sauce

Cook and drain ground beef. Place in a large bowl. Add egg, mozzarella cheese and bread. Stir in milk and season to taste. Prepare manicotti shells according to pkg. directions. Drain and set aside. Fill each shell with meat mixture, being careful not to tear the shells. Place in a 13x9 casserole. Pour spaghetti sauce over and sprinkle with additional shredded mozzarella cheese, if desired. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. makes 7 servings (2 shells each).
