BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar until well blended. Cool. Stir in eggs. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Then stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in well greased 8 1/2 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Do not overbake. Cut into squares while still warm.
