MEXICAN PORK WITH RICE 
1 lb. fresh pork, cut into thin slices
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
3 c. hot cooked rice
1 c. chopped onions
6 oz. tomato paste
15 oz. (1 can) pinto beans
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder

In a large skillet, brown pork in oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic powder; saute lightly. Stir in tomato paste and water. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Add beans and seasoning and simmer for 15 minutes longer. Serve over fluffy white rice.
