PEANUT BRITTLE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1 inch square paraffin wax
pinch of salt
1 qt. raw peanuts
3 tsp. baking soda

Mix sugar, syrup, wax and salt in large skillet. Stir over low heat until dissolved. Add peanuts and cook until peanuts are parched. Remove from heat and stir in soda. Pour into buttered surface at once and spread quickly. When cool, break into pieces.
