SHRIMP CREOLE | |
4 slices bacon 1 c. diced bell pepper 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 4 c. tomatoes (canned is fine) 1 bottle chili sauce 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. salt 4 to 6 shakes Tabasco sauce 1 can diced chili peppers 2 lb. good-sized shrimp Fry bacon; sauté onion, celery and green pepper. Add all remaining ingredients, except shrimp and cook 30 minutes or so. Add shrimp that have been cleaned and shelled. If shrimp are raw, let cook for about 10 minutes; if shrimp are precooked, let cook for about 5 minutes or just until shrimp are hot. Serve over white rice. Serves 6. |
