FRENCH VEGETABLE SOUP 
For 4 servings you will need:

1/4 c. butter
1 bunch green onions, sliced
1 c. sliced celery
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 med. potato, pared, diced
1 sm. turnip, pared, diced
4 c. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/3 c. whipping cream
Chopped chives for garnish

TIPS: This soup can be made ahead and reheated before serving. If it gets too thick, thin with additional cream or milk. It is also delicious served chilled.
