BANANA CREAM CAKE 
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 c. bananas, mashed
1/2 c. pecans

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour. Add bananas and nuts. Mix until just blended. Spoon into greased and floured oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Frost.

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla. Beat in powdered sugar. If mixture is too soft, add more powdered sugar.
