PLUM PIE | |
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serves 6-8 people. Make: 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs Mix: 2 c. purple plums 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. sugar mixed with 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon First prepare the pie dough and place in pie plate. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on bottom of unbaked pie shell. Place plums snuggly in shell, skin side down. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup sugar evenly over the top. Bake in very hot oven (450 degrees for 10 minutes). Lower oven temperature to moderate 350 and continue baking for 35 minutes longer or until skins of plums are soft. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar mixture. Garnish with whipped cream, toasted slivered almonds and mint sprigs, if you wish. Serve warm. |
