OLD FASHIONED CHICKEN SOUP 
1 stewing chicken or 2 chicken breasts
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. parsley
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/2 c. rice (uncooked but rinsed)
3 qt. water (or water & chicken broth)

Cook chicken ahead, let cool and remove meat from bones. Can bake or boil (I boil and use broth as part of liquid). Put chicken pieces in the water. Add other ingredients and simmer for 2-3 hours. Salt to your own taste. (Can use noodles instead of rice.)
