ONION-HERB BATTER BREAD 
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. butter
2 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. minced onion (instant)
1 tsp. dill weed and basil

Scald milk. Stir in sugar, butter and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add cooled milk mixture. Stir flour into mixture, add minced onions and herbs. Knead it.

Cover and let rise until 3 times in bulk (about 45 minutes). Knead again. Put in 2 greased bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. (Makes great French Toast!)
