OLD FASHIONED LEMON PIE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
Dash of salt
1 1/4 c. water
3 eggs, separated
1 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. lemon juice
Grated zest of 1 lemon
Baked pie shell
3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
Pinch of cream of tartar

Combine 1 1/4 cup sugar, flour, salt into pan. Add water, egg yolk stirring well. Cook until done. Add butter, lemon juice and zest. Spoon into baked pie shell. Make meringue by whipping whites, cream of tartar and sugar, and spoon onto pie while warm and brown.
