BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
"Best I ever ate" - so say male guests when served with baked potatoes, a green vegetable, and a tossed salad. The sauce can be prepared in advance, and its leftover, if any, can be used for a second time over pork chops.

1. Cut 3 to 4 pounds ribs into servings. Salt.

2. Slice 2 medium onions.

3. Blend: 1 tbsp. Worcestershire 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. brown sugar 3/4 c. catsup Pinch of red pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. black pepper 3/4 c. water

Arrange 1, 2 and 3 in layers in roasting pan. Bake, covered, 90 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove cover. Bake 20 minutes longer at 375 degrees.
