SUPER 7-LAYER SALAD 
1 lg. head of lettuce
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. minced celery
1 (10 oz.) pkg. uncooked frozen peas
1 c. mayonnaise (or more to suit taste)
2 tbsp. sugar
6 oz. Parmesan or Colby cheese, grated (or sharp cheddar)
8 strips bacon, cooked, drained & crumbled
1/2 c. sliced ripe olives

Layer in succession in a large bowl, the lettuce, pepper, onion, celery and peas. DO NOT MIX. Spread the mayonnaise on top then sprinkle with sugar and grated cheese, then the bacon bits and finally the ripe olives. DO NOT TOSS. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Toss and serve.
