2 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. food coloring
1/2 c. salt
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
4 c. flour
2 tbsp. alum

In a saucepan, boil water, food coloring, salt and oil. In a metal bowl, place flour and alum. Pour hot liquids into bowl with flour and alum. Mix well and knead 5 minutes until smooth. This can be refrigerated, but it is not necessary. Store tightly covered.
