ANISE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. ricotta or sour cream
1 tsp. anise
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soften butter; blend with ricotta until creamy. Add anise and mix well. Add sugar gradually, beating until well-blended; add egg and mix well. Slowly stir in dry ingredients and blend well. Drop from a teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes.
