2 lb. round steak 1 envelope onion soup mix 1/2 lb. mushrooms Green pepper, sliced 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes (drained and cut in half save juice) Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste 1 to 2 tbsp. A-1 sauce 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 tbsp. cornstarch Cover bottom of large deep baking dish with foil, grease bottom. Cut steak into serving pieces. Arrange in pan, slightly overlapping. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, mushrooms, green pepper and tomatoes. Season. Mix tomato juice, A-1 sauce and cornstarch. Pour over meat and vegetables. Seal pan tightly. Bake 2 hours or until tender at 375 degrees. Uncover, sprinkle with parsley. |
