CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK SHEET CAKE 
2 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Place sugar and flour in mixing bowl. Put butter, cocoa, Crisco, and water in small pan and bring to a boil. Turn on mixer; add boiling chocolate mixture to sugar and flour. After it has mixed well, add next ingredients - eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla. Pour into 11 x 18 inch greased pan or cookie sheet with sides.

Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Put butter, cocoa, and milk in same small pan and bring to boil. Beat into powdered sugar, nuts, and vanilla. Pour over hot cake, spread and cool.
