BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg, unbeaten
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle's semi sweet chocolate morsels
1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. cooking oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine cream cheese and unbeaten egg in small mixing bowl. Add sugar and salt; beat well. Stir in chocolate morsels.

In a large mixing bowl sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt. Add remaining ingredients and beat until well combined. Fill muffin cups, lined with papers, 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Top each one with heaping teaspoonful cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
