HOT WATER CORN BREAD | |
1 c. flour 1 tbsp. fat 3/4 c. boiling water 1 c. corn meal 1 tsp. salt Combine sifted flour, corn meal, salt and fat in a large bowl. Add boiling water; mix until smooth. Fry in small cakes in a heavy 10-inch skillet in bacon drippings. The bread is best crumbled and eaten with greens and salt pork. |
