HOMEMADE BREAD 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. milk
1/2 c. warm water
1 cake yeast (or 1 pkg. dry yeast)
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
5 1/2 c. flour

Beat eggs in large bowl. Mix warm milk with butter. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, milk and yeast to eggs. Add flour gradually. Knead. Let rise to double in bulk. Separate in half, mold into a loaf shape.

Place in buttered loaf pans, turn over once, cover and let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. (Dough may be used to make cinnamon rolls.)

Yield 2 loaves.
