SCALLOPED CABBAGE | |
1 med. cabbage 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 c. chicken stock or 2 cubes chicken bouillon in 1 c. water 1 tsp. salt Shake of sugar 1/4-1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated Buttered bread crumbs Cook cabbage until tender (sliced), drain. Melt butter. Add flour, salt, sugar and stir until smooth. Add chicken stock and stir into sauce alternate layers of cabbage, sauce, cheese. Top with sauce and cheese and sprinkle bread crumbs over top. Bake until brown, about 20 minutes. |
