BANANA BREAD WITH BRAN 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe mashed bananas
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Salt to taste (1/2 tsp.)
Chopped nutmeats
1/4 c. all bran (opt.)

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and bananas. Sift dry ingredients and mix into batter gradually on slow speed. Stir in chopped nutmeats and all bran. If needed, add 1 to 3 tablespoons of milk. Grease and flour loaf pan. Pour in batter and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
