QUICK POTATO BALLS | |
6 to 7 c. all-purpose flour 1 cake or pkg. dry yeast 4 lg. potatoes (save the water) 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. butter 1 tbsp. salt 2 eggs, well beaten 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. sugar Boil potatoes and mash and while hot. Beat shortening, butter, salt and eggs into potatoes. Dissolve the yeast in milk and sugar. Add to the potato mixture. Add flour. Set to rise 7 hours. Roll out on surface using just enough flour to handle. Form rolls. Let rise 2 hours. Bake 30 minutes in 400 degree oven. |
