THOUSAND ISLAND PICKLES 
4 qt. peeled and sliced cucumbers (if large, scoop out seeds)
4 lg. onions
1 heaping tbsp. salt
1 qt. cider vinegar (if strong, dilute 3 cups to 1 cup water)
4 c. sugar
2 tsp. tumeric
4 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Cook everything until it boils, simmer for 15 or 20 minutes or until tender crisp. Can hot and seal.
