HEARTY VEGETABLE BARLEY SOUP | |
Approx. 1 gal. water 2 1/2 lb. shin beef with bone 2 lg. onions, chopped sm. 3 potatoes, chopped sm. 4 carrots, chopped sm. 4 celery stalks, chopped sm. 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes 1 c. cabbage, chopped sm. 1 c. frozen peas 1 c. barley Salt & pepper to taste Combine all ingredients at once except peas. Partially cover and simmer for 3 hours. Stir occasionally. Add peas during the last half hour. |
