VEGETABLE BEEF BARLEY SOUP 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) Italian style stewed tomatoes
2 cans (13 3/4 fl. oz.) beef broth
1 can (17 oz.) mixed vegetables
1/2 c. uncooked med. egg noodles
1/2 c. barley
1/2 tsp. oregano

In a large pot, brown meat with onion. Cook until onion is tender; drain. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer until barley is cooked. Makes about 8 servings.
