TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter
1 c. nuts
1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Prepare cake mix to package directions. Place 1/2 batter in a greased 9"x13" floured pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Combine caramels, milk and butter, cook over low heat. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over hot cake batter. Pour caramel mixture over entire cake. Add remaining cake batter as top layer. Return to oven, bake for 20 minutes or until batter appears baked. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream. 12 servings.
