2/3 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 tsp. cracked pepper
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp. sherry or white wine
1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger or 1 tsp. ground
1/2 tsp. MSG (optional)

Mix all together and use for beef, pork, chicken, etc. Thread on skewers with vegetables of your choice and grill. Baste with marinade while cooking.
