BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) chocolate chips

1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine first 4 ingredients above and set aside.

Mix dry ingredients and add wet ingredients. Mix well. Fill muffin cups with liners, 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Drop into each, a heaping teaspoon of cheese mixture. Sprinkle tops with sugar and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 24 cupcakes.
