JACK - N - JILL FLAPJACKS 
Rub 1 tablespoon shortening into 2 cups flour. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 4 teaspoons baking powder. Beat up yolks of 2 eggs and add 2 cups milk to yolks. Add the liquid to the flour mixture, stirring until smooth. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter. Bake on a hot greased griddle and serve with desired toppings.
