OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. quick oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. flour

Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Mix dry ingredients and add to first mixture, including raisins. Blend well. Roll in small balls; put on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
