3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. butter 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/8 tsp. salt 2 1/4 c. flour 3/4 c. strawberry jam 1/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Combine sugar, shortening and butter. Add egg and mix. Add flour and salt. Press 3/4 of dough into pan (approximately 7'x11"). Spread on jam and nuts. Use remaining dough to make a lattice topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until golden brown. |
