CANNED GREEN BEANS 
2 gallons green beans
1 gallon cold water
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt

To the beans add the cold water, sugar, vinegar, and salt. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes then put on to boil. Boil for 30 minutes and can in sterilized jars.
