CANNED GREEN BEANS | |
2 gallons fresh green beans 1 gallon water 1 c. salt 1 c. sugar 1 c. vinegar Mix water, salt, sugar, vinegar and green beans, which have been snapped to 1 inch pieces. Place in sterilized jars after boiling the beans for 7 minutes. Seal. To Serve: Drain beans and rinse with cold water, cover beans with cold water and heat to boiling. Drain again, now add water and cook as for fresh beans, season but do not add more salt. |
