Crust: 1/3 c. butter 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Cream butter and sugar in small bowl. Add flour and walnuts mix to crumb mixture; save 1 c. for topping. Press remainder into bottom of 8 x 8 pan. Bake 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes. Filling: 1/4 c. sugar 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese 1 egg 2 tbsp milk 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp vanilla Blend sugar with cream cheese in small bowl until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla, beat well. Spread over baked crust, sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. |
