RICE PUDDING | |
1/2 c. rice 1 c. water 2 eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1 qt. milk (4 c.) 1/2 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla Nutmeg and cinnamon Cook rice in 1 cup water for 7 minutes on medium-high. Add milk and butter; cook on low or medium heat for 45 minutes (time from when you put the burner on- -not from when it actually starts to cook). After the 45 minutes, put eggs and sugar together in medium bowl and beat well. Add to mixture and stir until it starts to thicken. Pour into bowl and add vanilla. Add cinnamon and nutmeg if desired. Pudding will thicken as it sets and cools. This is delicious warm. |
