SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
5 sweet potatoes, cooked, peeled & sliced
2 apples, peel, core & slice
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. walnuts
5 tbsp. butter
Walnut halves

In a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole, place a layer of potatoes. Top with a layer of apples. Sprinkle with part of the sugar and nuts. Dot with part of the butter and repeat the layers. Top with crumbs and arrange a few walnut halves over the crumbs. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 8 to 10 minutes longer or until crumbs are slightly browned. I usually triple this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner.
