MOM'S DONUTS 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1-1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. water
1 heaping tsp. baking soda
2 heaping tsp. bakewell cream
1 tsp. salt
4-5 c. flour
2 tbsp. oil

Mix vanilla, milk, water, eggs, sugar, and oil in large bowl. Sift in rest of ingredients. Mix well. If needed add a little more flour to make dough so you can handle it. It should be soft. Fry in shortening or lard at 350°F until cooked through. Approximately a minute on each side.
