1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 sticks butter
3/4 c. oil
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together first 4 ingredients. Add the rest of ingredients. Drop from teaspoon on cookie sheet; press with fork dipped in water. Bake until light brown about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
