GUMDROP BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. sm. gumdrops (cut fine with wet scissors - drop in the sugar)
1 c. English walnuts, chopped
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. milk

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar, gumdrops and walnuts. Add egg and milk; blend well. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Slice thin.
