SHOO FLY CAKE 
2 1/4 c. boiling water
4 c. flour
1 c. Brer Rabbit mild molasses
1 lb. light brown sugar
3/4 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking soda

Mix in large bowl and set aside water, soda and molasses. Blend flour, sugar, salt and oil until crumbs are the size of peas. Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumbs. Combine liquid and crumbs; stir slightly. Pour into ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

(Substitute 1/2 cup King syrup for 1/2 cup molasses.)
