OVERNIGHT SALAD | |
1 head lettuce in 1/2-inch shreds 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas 2 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 4 oz. grated cheese 8 slices crisply fried bacon Layer these ingredients beginning with lettuce in a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight. This salad will remain crisp (in refrigerator) for a day or two if any is left uneaten for that long. |
