LAYERED PEA SALAD 
2/3 solid head lettuce
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
2 cans sliced water chestnuts
3/4 c. mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste

In large sealed bowl (like Tupperware). Layer of chopped lettuce. Then layer of chopped onion. Layer 16 ounces frozen peas direct from package. Layer 2 cans sliced water chestnuts. Spread mayonnaise on top evenly, sealing to edge. Salt and pepper to taste. Seal and place in refrigerator overnight. Toss before serving. Serves about 12. Can reduce by half.
