MINCE MEAT 
5 lb. hamburger
4 1/2 lb. sugar
1 gal. chopped apples
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. currants
1 pt. vinegar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. pepper
4 tbsp. nutmeg
1/2 gal. cider
4 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. cloves
Rum or rum flavoring to taste

Cook all ingredients for 1 1/2 hours or until the apples are cooked. Makes 1 1/2 gallon mince meat.
