DECORATOR'S FROSTING 
1 (2 lb.) bag powdered sugar
1 1/4 c. Crisco shortening
9 to 12 tbsp. water
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. clear vanilla
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring

Beat shortening, vanilla, butter flavoring and Karo syrup until smooth. Add powdered sugar a little at a time with water until good consistency for spreading. This is a good frosting for making roses and decorating cakes. Store in container with lid in refrigerator.
