ANISE COOKIES OR SEED CAKES 
3 lb. Gold Seal all-purpose flour
5 sticks Imperial butter
1 1/4 lb. regular sugar
6 eggs
3 tbsp. baking powder
1 bottle anise extract (pure)
1 tsp. pure anise oil (1 oz. bottle)
2 oz. water (rinse out bottle of anise oil and extract)
Sesame seed

Knead all this together to right consistency; cut into strips and cut to proper size, then roll in sesame seed. Bake at 400 degrees; place on top rack first, then bottom rack for 20 minutes. Watch carefully, do not burn.
